About Us 

Cason is a rural Southern Baptist Church located in northern Monroe County. At Cason we believe that church is a voluntary commitment among believers to work together to carry out the Great Commission. Our doctrinal beliefs are in line with the Baptist Faith and Message which can be found hereThe goal is to create a loving community that provides the opportunity to worship, fellowship, learn, evangelize, and serve both God and the community. There are Sunday School classes and ministries for all ages. Our hope is that you will come and join us as we exalt the savior, equip the saints, and evangelize the sinner.

Sr. Pastor
Matt Long

Matt joined the staff at Cason Baptist in October of 2017. Matt has served previously as both a Youth Pastor and most recently as the Pastor of Zion Hill Baptist in Blue Springs. Matt is a graduate of Blue Mountain College with a degree in Secondary Education and a 2018 graduate of New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary with a Master of Divinity Degree. Matt has been married to Debbie, a high school art teacher, for 13 years and they have three children, Hailey and Hannah 10, and Paxton 4.

Student Pastor
Zack Carter
Zack joined the staff at Cason Baptist in July of 2018. Zack is a graduate of Winona High School and Meridian Community College. While at Meridian Zack was a member of the Eagles baseball team and was voted as a team captain. Zack served as a Youth intern at his home church of First Baptist Winona. Zack will be attending Blue Mountain College this fall pursuing a degree in Biblical Studies.
